World Cycling event taking place across Scotland 3-13th August - impact to Wilsons deliveries
From 3 August to 13 August 2023, the UCI World Cycling Championships are taking place in various locations across the UK.
On Friday 4th August, there will be no courier collection from our Blairgowrie warehouse. The majority of our cold pressed orders are shipped from this location, therefore there will be delays to deliveries of all cold pressed orders placed after 12pm on Thursday 3rd August. Orders placed after this time will be shipped on Monday 7th August.
The Championships are expected to have a major impact on the road network across parts of Scotland and we expect there to be delays, particularly in the following postcode areas on the following days.
- 4 August - PH1-2, PH10, PH15-16
- 5 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
- 6 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20, EH8, EH1
- 7 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
- 8 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
- 9 August - FK7-8, DG1-2
- 10 August - FK7-8, DG1-2
- 11 August - FK7-8, DG1
- 12 August - DG1
- 13 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
Please note that for six days, from 5-8th August and 11-12th August we will be unable to make any deliveries in Glasgow City Centre with road closures in place from 6am till 8pm - G1-G4 and G20 postcodes:
As always, we will be working with our courier to minimise the impact of these road closures on your deliveries. However, there will most likely be delays due to the extent and length of the road closures in place.
