Reduce
Arguably, the most important of the three, reducing your impact is key in helping to preserve the natural world. In order to help our customers achieve this, Wilsons Pet Food have a variety of options for ordering your food.
First off, if you order your 2kg or 10kg box of cold pressed food, you'll receive your dogs' food in a high quality cardboard box and a paper inner, and then on your next order you can opt to save 5% on cost by ordering a refill paper bag to simply pop into your current cardboard box. Reducing waste and saving space.
If you're a raw feeder, Wilsons have a variety of different pack sizes of frozen food so if you have the freezer space to support it you can order a larger pack to reduce the number of sends and amount of packaging.
Not only are our raw frozen trays compostable, but our brand new Premium Natural Dog Treats are biobased, renewable biodegradable material which is made from starch purposed from renewable plant resources. It is 100% plastic free, biodegradable and compostable.
Reuse
We highly recommend reusing our cold pressed cardboard boxes! They are thick, strong and durable, giving them longevity to give you a secure place to store your dog's food.
We suggest when placing your first order, opt for a box of our Premium Cold Pressed dog food, then on subsequent orders or on your subscription plan, simply order a refill pack of cold pressed and not only will you save 5% on your costs, but you'll be saving on packaging!

Why not build a hideaway nook, filled with your dog's favourite blankets and toys, perfect for keeping away from loud noises, visitors or for some peace and quiet.
Cardboard can be a great help in the garden. Whether you want to help fill a new veg or plant bed, as a weed barrier or in your compost heap. This could be a perfect way to reuse our cardboard boxes - always make sure that you use purely cardboard without glossy or plastic coating for garden projects.

Recycle
We ensure that our products are either biodegradable, compostable or recyclable.
Our Premium Cold Pressed food uses cardboard boxes and paper bags which are both biodegradable and recyclable, while our Working Dog Cold Pressed comes in 15kg paper bags.
Our raw frozen trays are made using plant based materials to create a fully compostable tray. They are topped with a plastic film, which is widely recycled. The outside tray is made from cardboard which is biodegradable and also widely recycled.
We always recommend investigating your local council's directions regarding recycling as these vary across the UK, but at Wilsons we try to make this as easy as possible by using materials that are widely recycled.
